GoMids.com Players of the Week

Navy came from behind for the second week in a row, defeating SMU, 28-21. With the home win, Navy improved to 4-2 on the season. Each week GoMids.com recognizes a top offensive player, defensive player and an unsung hero. Look inside to find out which players GoMids.com honors this week.

FB Alexander Teich

Teich had 21 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner with just 1:38 left in the game.

LB Jerry Hauburger

Hauburger rang up 8 tackles, including 3 for loss, and forced 2 fumbles on the day. He also had a key sack at the end of the first half which forced an SMU field goal attempt that was no good.

DE Jabaree Tuani

Tuani had three tackles and recovered a fumble, but constantly drew double teams which allowed other players to put pressure on SMU QB Kyle Padron. He also had a play that personifies an "unsung hero" by making a tackle 10 yards downfield after losing his helmet.

NOTE: No player can be named POTW more than three times during a season. Players also cannot be named POTW for two consecutive games.
