The Army Black Knights are champions yet again. Army pounced on Holy Cross on Tuesday to turn 4-4 tie into a 8-4 Army win. It was Army's sixth Patriot League Championship since joining the league in the early 90s.

Key performers for Army include Zach Price, who had 3 hits, and Daniel Cortes, Kevin McKague, J.T. Watkins and Harold Earls who each had a pair of hits.

Gunnar Carroll, who held the Crusaders scoreless in three innings of work while allowing no hits and only one walk, picked up the victory for Army.

Next step for Army is the NCAA tournament. The 64-team field will be announced on May 28. ESPN analyst Jeremy Mills projects Army to be a No. 4 seed in a Los Angeles Regional while perfectgame.org projects Army as a No. 4 seed in a Stanford Regional.
