The awards keep racking up! Zach Price may have played his last baseball game in an Army uniform, but the achievements just keep coming. Since the end of the baseball season, the infielder from Pensacola has been named to the first-team Academic All-American squad and to the Senior CLASS All-American Second Team.
Only ten players from the entire country received the CLASS honors, putting Price in a prominent and important group of collegiate baseball players.
These are just the post-season awards that Price has received this year. Over his four year career with the Black Knights,
Zach Price
has constantly received recognition and awards for his hard work on & off the field. His extraordinary freshman season earned him Freshman All American honors which resulted from posting one of the best seasons by a Black Knight freshman in history. His hard work has continued to pay off, as he now stands as the all-time
Army
run scorer. In addition, there is not a single player in the history of the Patriot League to draw more walks than Zach Price.
Price’s contributions to the team cannot be overstated. He earned ESPN All-American second team honors both in 2010 and 2011. He’s been on the Patriot League honor-roll three of his four years in the conference, as well as becoming one of the team co-captains in his last couple of years at the school. True leadership is expressed everywhere you go, and his graduating GPA of 3.73 shows his commitment to success in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. Zach Price’s name will forever be cemented into the Black Knight’s and the Patriot League record books. I loved watching him hit and work hard throughout the last four years. His experience will truly be missed in the Army Baseball world, but his name will never be forgotten. We all wish you the best, Zach!
