Meet the New Mids: Wide Receivers

In our continuing series GoMids.com continues to look at this year's incoming Navy freshman football class by position. For Navy wide receivers playing in a triple option offense the key skill remains their ability to block on the perimeter. Current Navy assistant coach, and former wide receiver, Mick Yokitis coined the phrase "wide tackles" when he played at Navy.

The last few years with the emergence of Mid quarterbacks that could throw the ball down the field there have been more big plays in the passing game. GoMids.com will now review the new Mid wide receivers. Don Pearson was a starting wide receiver at the Naval Academy Prep school last season.
