Navy QB commit: "Excited to serve my country"

Troy Thompson played against some of the best competition the Peach State has to offer in Class AAAAAA. Although the 6-foot, 185-pound quarterback has been committed to the U.S. Naval Academy since October, he kept it under wraps. Now that it's time for National Signing Day, Thompson spoke to about his decision to join the Midshipmen.

"Coach Niumatalolo and Coach Ingram were on the same page as me with not making my commitment public," said Troy Thompson. "My decision was based on my comfort level with the team and the coaches.
