Satchell loves the Marine Corps

Offensive lineman Stephen Satchell of Independence High School (Thompson's Station, Tenn.) signed with Navy on Wednesday, February 5th. Look inside quotes from Satchell.

"I've always wanted to be in the military since I was little," said Satchell. "To be able to attend one of the best colleges in the world and also getting to play big time D-1 football is fulfilling a longtime dream of mine. Signing Day was great. It was the most people our high school has ever had sign. It was a unique group of seniors.

"Coach Ingram came by my high school a couple of months into the season and it spurred my interest. The more I got to meet and know the coaches the more interested I became. I'm not sure yet but I think I want to go into the Marines after graduation. I've always loved the Marine Corps."

Satchell, 6-foot-4, 265-pounds, was a two-year starter in high school. He played in the Kentucky-Tennessee Border Bowl after his senior season. Satchell plans on taking his official visit to campus during his spring break in March.
