Despite the fact of Coach Paul Johnson packing his bags and heading south to take over the Georgia Tech football program, the 6-1, 230 pound linebacker appears to be firm with his commitment to the Naval Academy. He has every intention of suiting up for Navy next fall.
"I committed to Navy back in June, and I still am committed," Hill said. "I signed up to play for the Navy brotherhood, and not so much for the coach. But I am very excited to play for Coach Ken in the future."
There are several features that stick about the prestigious program to the stud linebacker who consistently runs a 4.5 in the forty-yard dash. From the sound of things, he is truly anticipating his arrival in Annapolis, to say the very least. "I am just so excited to be a part of their program," Hill said. "The whole atmosphere, the tradition, and everything that has been accomplished at the Naval Academy; I am just excited to be a part of it."
Jonathan's senior season on the field was a very successful one. The 6-1, 230 pound LB shared with GoMids.com, a little bit of his team's success regarding their 2007 campaign. "We went 14-0 this season, and won the AA State finals this past Saturday," Jonathan said. "We won the game 14-7. I had 16 tackles in that game. My season stats have not been compiled yet."
Jonathan has not decided on a major as of yet, but whatever he intends on studying, his grades appear to be in good shape to do so. Hill informed GoMids.com that he is currently carrying a 3.5 GPA in the classroom. He also noted that he is in good standings with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
