Bostick Talks Commitment

Birmingham athlete Ben Bostick recently brought his recruitment to an end after verbally pledging to the United States Naval Academy. The John Carroll Catholic High star recently spoke with GoMids.com in-depth about his decision to join the Midshipmen next fall.
ATH
Ben Bostick
was in the state of Maryland on the weekend of the 10th for his official visit with
Navy
. And after seeing what the Academy had to offer him, he decided to bring his recruitment to a close.
The Alabama resident shared with us, and number of things that stood out to him regarding the prestigious program. He reflected on how well he was treated while he was in Annapolis, and had nothing but great things to say about the coaching staff. But there was one thing in particular that just stood out to the 6-0, 195 pound ATH away. “Their vision,” Bostick said. “I think they have a great vision at Navy. I really like what they are doing out there, and where their program is going.”
Bostick and the Naval Academy share quite an interesting history. You see, Bostick missed the majority of last fall when he suffered a season ending injury during the first game of the season. So with that in mind, he really didn’t have a lot of senior season footage on film. But to be quite honest, the talented playmaker didn’t need any senior footage, because the Navy Coaching Staff was pretty much sold on him after watching his junior season film.
“One of the coaches from Navy came by the school one day to talk to my coach,” Bostick said. “My coach (Coach Musso) showed them my tape, and they really like what they saw. It was mainly junior season footage, because I broke my fibula and tore some ligaments in my ankle during the first game of the season.”
Bostick has been making a great recovery so far, and simply counts it as a blessing to have another chance to play the sport he truly loves. Not only that, but he feels privileged to have an opportunity to play college level. This young man without question, should make a great asset to the program, and we are overly anxious to see him suit up in the blue and gold.
Congratulations from the GoMids Family!
