Air Force Is Playing More Forcefully

The Air Force Falcons collapsed in the second half of the 2013 season, but before they did, they gave Navy a tough game in Annapolis on Oct. 5. That more rugged and formidable version of Air Force has been in evidence this season. Navy will have its hands full with the Falcons on Saturday. The Midshipmen have to demonstrate that being the better team in theory can become an actuality on the field.

Three Keys Revisited Navy vs Western WKU

The Mids are probably pretty happy to see the back of the Hilltoppers. After shutting down the Navy offense in a win a year ago, this time Western Kentucky opened up its own scoring machine to work over the bend but don’t break principles of the Mids defense and pick up another victory.

Nation thinks Navy would be a 'good choice'

Ellis "Tre" Nation has been tearing it up this season at Leeds (Ala.) High School. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound running back has gone for more than 100 yards in each of his first five games of his junior season. Navy was one of the first schools to offer Nation earlier in the year during the spring evaluation period but he now has added a multitude of FBS and FCS offers.

Three Keys Navy vs Western Kentucky

This is a strangely tough part of the schedule for Navy. After Rutgers stymied the option while piling up the rushing yards a week ago, the Mids now get to face the one team who were able to slow them down a year ago in Western Kentucky.

Childress talks Navy commitment

Dom Childress said it didn't take long for him to "fall in love" with the U.S. Naval Academy on a summer trip to Annapolis. The speedy all-purpose back out of Independence High School in Thompson's Station, Tenn. had seen two teammates, Jalen Wade and Stephen Satchell, move on to Navy in the past two recruiting cycles.

Western Kentucky: A Numerical Perspective

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers defeated Navy last season, when Keenan Reynolds got knocked out of the game in the first half. Reynolds and the rest of the Midshipmen, coming off a wrenching loss to Rutgers, should not need any outside motivation when Western Kentucky pays a visit to Annapolis this weekend. It's time for Navy to right the ship; let's look at the Hilltoppers to set up the contest.

Three Keys Revisited Navy vs Rutgers

The Navy Mids fell to 2-2 on the season as they were unable to rally back from a 14-point fourth quarter deficit on Saturday afternoon against Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights used their strong rushing game, and incredibly stout defensive front, to keep Navy from every really getting into the flow of their game.
