| As a senior team captain in 2009 Erik rushed for 19 TDs and 1480 yards on 107 carries to lead all Utah classifications at 13.83 yards per carry as an option QB. He also threw for another 8 TDs and 1048 yards on 45 completions for 23.2 yards per completion. As a free safety he recorded 52 tackles with 3 interceptions and returned a fumble 85 yards for another TD. He earned 1st Team All-State Salt Lake Tribune (QB) and 1st Team All-State Deseret News (QB/FS). He was also named Region 10 Offensive MVP as he led his team to an 11-2 record, Region Championship, the all-time Utah team rushing record, and a berth in the State Semifinals.
As a junior in 2008 Walker scored 16 touchdowns and rushed for 1051 yards on 131 carries as an option QB. As a cornerback he recorded 36 tackles with 2 interceptions, returning one for a TD. He earned 1st Team All-State Salt Lake Tribune and was named Region 10 MVP (Defense). He earned Overall MVP, Fastest Man, and Best VJ Awards at the NUC Combine in Boise, ID; He had the fastest 40 yds (4.36) and best VJ (36 inches) at the All-Poly Showcase in Bountiful, UT; He was one of 5 Utahns invited to the US Army All-American National Combine where he ran the fastest pro-agility (4.09) of all DB's and was 2nd fastest overall. He was also among the top performers in the 40 yds and VJ at the National Combine. Won the Utah State Championships at 100m with a 10.95 time.
As a sophomore in 2007 Walker started at WR and corner, and was #2 on Park City's all-purpose yardage total for the season at 706 yards. He caught 4 TD passes on offense and recorded 42 tackles, had 4 interceptions, 2 blocked punts, and recovered 2 fumbles, returning one for a TD. He was Honorable Mention All-State and All-Region 10.
